Fourslide Stamping of a Steel Radiator Hose Clamp for an Automotive Application

Project description:

The radiator hose clamp highlighted here was formed at Stanley Spring and Stamping Corporation's state of the art facility, and utilized cutting edge forming processes. Designed for use as a hose clamp on an automotive radiator, it is composed of commercially available carbon steel. The formed clamp featured dimensions of .850" in height, .5 mm in in thickness, with an inside diameter of 46 mm (1/-0). Quality is maintained through in process dimensional and visual inspections. Finished clips are then zinc electro plated prior to being shipped to the customers Illinois facility, in quantities of 100,000 annually.
