An automotive industry customer was in need of a high volume manufacturer, capable of producing precision stamped components of various metals. At Stanley Spring and Stamping Corporation, our facility is equipped with over 40 four-slide stamping machines, and the capacity to handle everything from prototypes to high volume production runs.
The product they needed was a special application panel clip, which featured dimensions of .500" in width and 1.250" in length. The precision four slide stamping equipment we employed to manufacture this product allowed us to achieve tolerances of ±.001", and 1° on the angles. After stamping, each clip is deburred and heat treated, and then receives either zinc nickel plating or zinc flake coating.
At Stanley Spring and Stamping we take quality seriously, and employ a quality program that includes raw material inspection, first piece inspection, dimensional inspection, and final inspection. We currently manufacture over 3 million of these spring clips annually, with lead times of 3 to 4 weeks.
