Project description:
As a leading provider of precision stamping, Stanley Spring and Stamping provides stamped components for a wide range of industries using a variety of metals. This project was completed for an electrical manufacturer, and consisted of brass and silver stampings.
Designed as a left hand load terminal, with frame and contacts, components were formed on our 100 ton punch press. The frame section was made from 70/30, ½ hard brass, that is .032" thick (± .001"). The contacts were made from 90/10 silver cadmium oxide that is .059" in width, and .142" in depth (±.001"). Stamping created an assembly with overall dimensions of .74" in length, .47" in height, and .417" in width All parts are subject to visual and dimensional inspections and were held to overall tolerances of .008"/-.009", and angular tolerances of ±1°. It was produced in high volume quantities, with annual deliveries of 300,000 to 500,000.
