At Stanley Spring and Stamping Corporation, our fouslide stamping capabilities allow us to manufacture precision components for a wide range of industries. This project was designed for use in an ice dispenser clip, which is used in the hotel and restaurant industry.
Formed from raw .020" thick, C-1050 spring steel, this project utilized a number of manufacturing processes. The clip featured unformed dimensions of 3.986" in length, 2.02" in width, and .020" in height. Formed dimensions were 2.00" in length, 2.02" in height, and .680" in width. Stamping and forming to reach these dimensions was completed on our advanced fourslide stamping equipment to overall tolerances of ±.030", and angular tolerances of ±1. After forming the clips are heat treated to an Rc hardness of 44 to 50, zinc plated, and powder coated. We currently manufacture 10,000 to 15,000 of these clips annually, with lead times of 2 to 4 weeks.
