Project description:
The electrical strap sub assembly highlighted here was formed utilizing a high speed 150 ton punch press. At Stanley Spring and Stamping Corporation, our facility can accommodate stamping projects of almost any volume; this product is produced in quantities of 100,000 to 200,000 per year.
Composed of mild steel and brass, the finished strap featured dimensions of 4.5" in length, 1.5" in width, and 1" in height.
The precision stamping process that we employed, allowed us to meet overall tolerances of ±.005", and angular tolerances of ±1°, which was verified through visual and dimensional inspections. Strap subassemblies then had nickel plating applied before shipment to the customer's facility in Mexico.
